Camellia Rose Facial Oil
Why camellia oil is exceptional for winter skin
Camellia oil (Camellia oleifera / japonica) behaves more like a skin-identical lipid than a typical plant oil.
Key reasons it shines in cold weather:
• High oleic acid (~80%) → strengthens the lipid barrier and reduces transepidermal water loss
• Very lightweight molecular feel → penetrates instead of sitting heavy or greasy
• Non-waxy → skin stays flexible, not stiff or occluded
• Naturally rich in antioxidants (polyphenols + vitamin E)
• Extremely low irritation potential → ideal for reactive, wind-burned, post-heating-season skin
In winter, skin doesn’t just need moisture — it needs barrier lipids that behave like our own sebum, and camellia oil does exactly that.
This makes it especially good for:
• Mature skin
• Redness-prone or thinning winter skin
• Facial skin exposed to cold + indoor heat
